|Vandals add Skyler White|
MOSCOW, Idaho – Skyler White, a Bellevue, Wash., native who played basketball at George Washington University in 2013-14, will join the Idaho men’s basketball team in the fall, Idaho coach Don Verlin announced.
The 6-foot-6, 238 pound forward scored a season-high six points on 2-of-2 shooting from 3-point range against Fordham as a freshman at GW. He played in 17 games and hit 50.0 percent of his 3-pointers on the season. George Washington went 24-9 in 2013-14 and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament as a No. 9 seed.
Prior to his freshman campaign at George Washington, White helped Northfield Mount Hermon School to a 2013 National Prep Championship and was a McDonalds All-America nominee.
White played his high basketball at Eastside Catholic High School in Sammamish, Wash., and Bronxville High School in Bronxville, N.Y., and was a Seattle Times Honorable Mention All-Metro Conference selection in 2011. White also played for England’s U-18 National Team, winning the 2010 Haris Memorial Tournament, and was invited to England’s U-20 team in 2013.
The addition of White gives Idaho 10 players on its 2014-15 roster from Idaho, Washington and Oregon.
