MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho volleyball team signed four exciting players to letters of intent to attend the University of Idaho and play volleyball for the Vandals next fall.

The recruiting class features Jennifer Feicht, Miranda Pratt, Alexandra Sele, and Allison Walker.

“This is a great volleyball class that features multi-talented players with high-level experience,” Idaho coach Debbie Buchanan said. “All four are physical players who are at the top of their positions, which is what we need. We need more height and players who jump and swing at a high level, especially with who we are losing. Obviously they have a huge gap to close in on, but we are extremely excited to have them as Vandals.”

Feicht is a setter from Woodbridge High School at Irvine, Calif. She was a first team all-league and first team all-city team selection during the 2007 season when she averaged 32.05 assists per match and totaled 33 service aces. She also tallied 42 kills and 101 digs and helped the Warriors to three-consecutive league titles. She currently is playing with her team at the CIF’s and is a four-year honor roll honoree. Feicht also played for the Saddleback Valley club team at Lake Forest, Calif., and helped her team to a third-place finish at the 2008 Reno Festival 18’s. She has competed with the club since 2002. She also participated in track and field.

Pratt is an outside hitter from Mt. Si High School at Snoqualmie, Wash. She was a three-time KingCo all-conference selection and earned Most Valuable Player in 2008 after helping her team to the state tournament. She led the league in kills and set numerous Mt. Si records, including kills in a match and aces. Pratt also is a four-year member of the Kent Juniors club team at Kent, Wash., which was ranked as one of the top clubs in the nation this past season.

Sele is a 6-foot-2 middle blocker from Tumwater (Wash.) High School who led her team to the 2008 state title. She was a four-time all-league selection and earned first team all-league honors as a senior. She also played with the South Sound Ohana club team at Olympia, Wash., and earned MVP honors at the Emerald City Tournament in 2008. Sele also participated in track and field.

Walker is a 6-foot-2 outside hitter from Othello (Wash.) High School. She was a three-time all-conference selection and a Tri-City Herald all-area selection. She also was voted the team MVP twice in her career and led her team to the 2008 state tournament. Walker played as a member of the Desert Volleyball Club team at Richland, Wash., and helped lead the team to a fourth-place regional finish, which was the highest in club history. She was also honored as a member of Othello High School’s basketball and track and field teams and holds the school record for the high jump and triple jump. Walker also is a two-year Honors Society honoree and earned a Citizenship Award.
