Career: Ashley finished his career at Idaho as a safety after spending two seasons on offense where he played at quarterback and receiver. He wrapped up his defensive career with 103 total tackles (61 solo and 42 assists) along with three interceptions, two tackles for loss and one fumble recovery.

2011: Was the Vandals' starting free safety and wound up fourth on the team in total tackles with 78 (42 solo and 36 assists) ... led Idaho in interceptions with three, which he returned for 105 yards ... also had two tackles for loss (minus four yards) and one fumble recovery.

2010: Played in 12 games at safety ... had 35 total tackles, which includes 26 solo stops and nine assists.

2009: Redshirted and moved to the defensive secondary.

2008: Expanded his role yet again ... started the season in a backup quarterback role and finished the season in the secondary ... in addition to throwing the ball, he also had three pass receptions and three rushes for 86 all-purpose yards (35 rushing, 51 receiving).

2007: Came to Idaho with the possibility of playing quarterback or defensive back ... moved full-time to the offensive side of the ball mid-season ... played in six games at quarterback and started twice ... completed eight of 22 passes and was intercepted once ... threw for 92 yards and one TD ... also rushed for 111 yards on 28 carries ... best game was at New Mexico State when he was eight of 15 passing for 92 yards and one TD, along with six rushes for 21 yards.

High school: Three-year letterman and two-year starter at Paris (Texas) High School ... as a senior, was a unanimous first-team all-District quarterback ... also all-Red River Valley first-team quarterback and all-Smoaky.com honorable mention quarterback ... as a senior, completed 69 of 143 passes for 993 yards and 11 TDs, and carried the ball 146 times for 902 yards and 17 TDs ... led team in scoring in 2006 ... as a junior, was all-District 12-4A as a quarterback and all-Red River Valley at quarterback ... also played baseball and basketball and competed in track.
