COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - University of Idaho junior diver Paige Hunt tallied a 214.05 to finish 13th in the platform diving at the Zone E Championships at the Air Force Academy.

Hunt (Mesa, Ariz.) missed qualifying for the final round by just six-tenths of one point.

"Today was a great end to our season," Idaho diving coach Chelsea Oates said. "All in all, this weekend was very positive. Paige had great performances all around.

"Like I said all meet, she hung with the best divers in the country but we also know what it is going to take to get to the next level - the NCAA Championships."

Head swimming and diving coach Mark Sowa said the three-day diving competition underscored the progress Hunt has made throughout the season.

"If we compare this year to last, Paige took a huge step toward becoming an elite diver," Sowa said. "I love the way she competes and handles herself. She is a great representative of this program."

Earlier in the meet, Hunt finished 13th in the 3-meter event and 17th in the one-meter event.
