The University of Idaho women’s swimming and diving team is ranked 68th in the Endless Pool College Swimming power rankings and is 22nd among mid-majors as 2014 unfold. The Vandals are the highest ranked Western Athletic Conference team.

“Once again,” coach Mark Sowa said, “these rankings are nice because it gets our name mentioned among some really good schools and historically very successful programs. However, you still have to show up and swim that race and rip your dives.  We have a little less than two months to try to put this thing all together and I think we have put ourselves in a good position.  Now we have to stay healthy, stay focused and continue to try to get better every day we come to the pool."

The Vandals’ next compete Jan. 18 at New Mexico State with the regular-season finale Jan. 25 vs. Oregon State at the UI Swim Center. The WAC Championship Meet is Feb. 26-March 1 at San Antonio, Texas.
