Honors: Three Time All-WAC Academic Team, 2013 WAC All-Tournament Team

2013: Shared the team’s Golden Boot award as the team’s top scorer… finished season with three goals…led the team with nine points (3 g, 3 a)…was voted co-Players’ Player of the Year for the second consecutive season…started all 20 games…had a season-high five shots against CSU Bakersfield (Oct. 18)…All-WAC Academic Team.

2012: Earned WAC All-Academic honors…played and started in all 21 games as a sophomore midfielder…was second in points (16) for the Vandals, scoring four goals while leading the team with eight assists…had a career-high six shots along with an assist against Texas State on September 28…had two assists versus New Mexico State on October 28…only player to score against Texas State in WAC Tournament, connecting on her only shot of the match.

2011: Baran played in all 22 games at outside midfielder and earned five starts in her true freshman campaign with the Vandals…was Idaho’s top freshman scorer with three goals, two assists and eight total points on the season…earned her first career point with an assist in the 3-2 win over Montana on Sept. 4…netted her first career goal in her first career start against North Dakota State on Sept. 11, and also added an assist…voted Players’ Player of the Game after the NDSU win by her teammates…scored again in the 2-1 overtime loss to Washington State on Sept. 18 and in the Oct. 7 win over Hawai`i…posted a team-leading .214 shooting percentage with three goals on just 14 shots …Fall WAC All-Academic honoree.

High School/Club: Baran helped lead Lakeside High School to four consecutive Northeast A League titles from 2007-10, as well as four straight Washington 1A district titles. She led the Eagles to a third-place state finish in 2010 and helped Lakeside earn state tournament berths all four years. She was the 2010 NEA Most Valuable Player, as well as a first-team all-state selection, and was twice honored as the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association Athlete of the Week. She was also a first-team Academic All-Conference honoree in 2009 and a second-team honoree in 2010 and was voted team captain and team MVP in both 2009 and 2010. She played on the Spokane Shadow club team for six years, along with fellow 2011 signee Annie Millard. She helped lead the Shadow to the Washington State Cup semifinals in 2009 and 2010, as well as the U.S. Club Soccer regional semifinal and the Denver Cup semifinal. In 2007, helped the Shadow earn a U.S. Club Soccer Region G Premier title, as well as the Super Y League Northwest title, which gave the team a berth to the Super Y League National Finals.

Personal: She is the daughter of Jeff and Lynn Baran…she was an honors student at Lakeside H.S. She is majoring in biology.
