The University of Idaho men's and women's track and field teams were recognized by U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as all-academic programs. To achieve the honor, teams needed to have a team cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. The Vandal women turned in a 3.30 and the men a 3.01.

Helping them to those lofty cumulatives were seven student-athletes who also were honored by the association. Johanna Hocketstaller (4.0 in Psychology), Hannah Kiser (3.92 in Biochemistry), Ellen Rouse (3.83 in Recreation) and Liga Velvere (3.75 in Exercise Science) represent the women's team with the men represented by Jeremy Klas (3.62 in Computer Science), Mike Marshall (3.55 in Elementary Education) and Ugis Svazs (3.31 in Exercise Science).
