BOULDER, Colo. - Day three was a difficult one for the University of Idaho women's golf team as it dropped from third to ninth at the UNLV Spring Rebel Invitational.
Sophomore Kayla Mortellaro, who led after the first two rounds, closed with a three-over 75 to finish at three-under 213 for the tournament - three strokes behind medalist Therese Koelbaek of UNLV.
Collectively, the Vandals tallied 313 strokes - well off their opening 285 and second-day 300, to drop to ninth at 34-over 898. Host UNLV won the title with a two-over 866, while Texas was second at 14-over 878.
Also for the Vandals, senior Amanda Jacobs had a final round 82 to finish in a tie for 42nd at 228, sophomore Teo Poplawski tied for 46th at 229, sophomore Annika Karlsson tied for 53rd at 230 and sophomore Frida Nilsson tied for 84th at 240.
