Mortellaro tied for second

University of Idaho senior Kayla Mortellaro is tied for second after two rounds of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational hosted by the University of Hawai`i.

Mortellaro had rounds of 73-73 for a two-over 146, which is just two strokes off the leading pace of 144 by Coastal Carolina's Brittany Henderson.

The Vandals are at 617 to tie with host Hawai`i for sixth. Gonzaga leads the tournament at 602 with Texas A&M at 603.

Also for the Vandals, Kaitlyn Oster is at 156 and tied for 34th, Teo Poplawski is at 157 and tied for 40th, Rachel Choi is at 158 and tied for 45th, and Leilanie Kim is tied for 60th at 162.
