Idaho's Kayla Mortellaro have been named the Verizon Western Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week for March 7-13.

Mortellaro, a junior from Phoenix, Ariz. (Mesa Distance Learning), finished in third place at the UNLV Spring Rebel Invitational after shooting a 7-under par 209 (71-69-69), March 7-9.  She shot under par in all three rounds and the first 69 tied for the best score of the second round.  She currently is ranked as the sixth best amateur golfer in the world.  It is the ninth time in her career that Mortellaro has won a WAC golfer of the week or month award.
