DENVER - For the second consecutive week an Idaho outside hitter has been recognized as the Western Athletic Conference volleyball Player of the Week. This time, it's senior Alicia Milo taking home the hardware.

The Portland, Ore., native averaged 5.60 kills, 3.40 digs, 0.60 service aces and 6.20 points per set as the Vandals came from behind to defeat Utah State in their only match last week. Milo finished the match with a career-high 28 kills and added 17 digs for her sixth double-double of the season while hitting .258 in the match. Her 17 digs were two shy of her career high and her three service aces were a season high. It was also her first 20-plus kill match of the season.

With Idaho trailing 2-1 in the match and behind 18-9 in set four, Milo had two kills, a service ace and an assist down the stretch to lead the Vandals to a 27-25 victory in the set. She served tough during the rally, helping Idaho win four consecutive points to pull within two (19-17). In the decisive fifth set, Milo had three kills on as many attempts and added two digs as Idaho won 15-8.

The honor is the first of Milo's career and the third for a Vandal this season. Sophomore outside hitter Allison Walker earned Player of the Week honors on Oct. 10 and Oct. 31.

The win lifts Idaho to 8-4 in the WAC and in third place in the standings entering the final week of the season.
