University of Idaho Vandal football players Korey Toomer and Tyrone Novikoff are headed to Little Rock, Ark., for the Players All-Star Classic – a college football all-star game that pits the North vs. the South.

Novikoff (Curlew, Wash.) was a 2011 team captain during his senior season with the Vandals. He started 25 consecutive games for the Vandals and played in 46 during his four-year career at offensive tackle.

Toomer, who originally signed with the Vandals out of Shadow Ridge High School, joined the Vandals in 2009 after two seasons at Arizona Western College. He played in 2009 before redshirting in 2010. He came back in 2011 and earned a starting linebacker role that morphed into part-time work at fullback. He was voted the team MVP for his 2011 season, which includes 68 total tackles as well as three touchdowns and one two-point conversion.

The game, which is at Little Rock’s War Memorial Stadium AT&T Field, is Feb. 4 at 1 p.m. (Pacific).  The North team is coached by Martin Bayless. It will be broadcast on Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast and Cox Sports TV.
