Another post-season award has come University of Idaho freshman punter Austin Rehkow’s way with his selection to the Sporting News All-Freshman team.

Rehkow, who is the punter for the Walter Camp team, led the nation in punting in 2013 and set an Idaho single-season record with his average of 47.8 yards per kick. He had a career long of 65 yards among his seven kicks in excess of 60 yards. Additionally, he had 27 punts from 50-59 yards.

In 2013, he was recognized as the FBS Independents Special Teams Player of the Week three times; was the Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week once, and was the CollegeFootballPerformanceAwards Special Teams Player of the Week three times.

In addition to being just one of two FBS players who both kicks and punts for his team, Rehkow has joined the Vandal basketball team.
