Coeur d’Alene High School

Coeur d’Alene, Idaho

Amos was a standout quarterback at Coeur d’Alene High School, where he started for two seasons after the graduation of current Vandal Chad Chalich. He led the Vikings to the 2012 state championship game and into the playoffs in 2013. The son of Shawn Amos, his signing brings the total to six of sons of former Vandals now playing at Idaho (Matt Linehan, Zack Cable, Tom Hennessey, Nolan Hoiness and Isaiah Saunders).

During his senior season (which was cut short because of a broken ankle), he completed 151 of 240 passes for 2,284 yards and 19 touchdowns. He also carried the ball 52 times for 214 yards and 10 touchdowns to bring his senior season total offense total to 2,498 yards. As a junior, he was 191 of 339 passing for 2,851 yards and 25 touchdowns to go with 130 carries for 708 yards and 12 TDs for 3,559 yards total offense. As a backup to Chalich in 2011, he completed five of 17 passes for 36 yards and had 53 yards on 29 carries. His career total offense was 6,146 yards, which earned him recognition by Northwest Preps as one of the top high school quarterbacks in the nation.
