OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Idaho sophomore soccer player Amber Pimley wrapped up successful weekend at the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships by helped Laguna Hills Eclipse take the girls U-18 title.
Pimley helped lead Laguna Hills to a 4-0 record at the tournament that included back-to-back 1-0 wins over defending champion, Eclipse Select of Illinois. She also helped Laguna Hills earn a No. 1 national ranking in the most recent TopDrawerSoccer.com TeamRank girls U18 listings.
Pimley started 16 games and played in 18 as a freshman central midfielder for Idaho last season. She attempted 12 shots, six of which were on goal. She and the rest of the Idaho women's soccer team will start fall camp on August 5 and will open the season with an exhibition game against Washington State on August 14 at Guy Wicks Field.
