MOSCOW, Idaho - Idaho women's basketball coach Jon Newlee has finalized his early period signing class with the addition of Krissy Karr, a 5-foot-6 point guard from Lutheran High School in Orange, Calif.
Karr averaged 9.5 points, 4.0 assists and 2.2 rebounds per game for the Lancers as a junior last season, and earned All-Trinity League and All-CIF Section honors. She has also made the Dean's List all three years of high school.
"Krissy is great in the open floor and in an up-tempo game," Newlee said. "She's great at pushing the ball up and she has excellent vision as well. I think she is a really good passer and an excellent outside shooter and she gives us great perimeter defense."
Karr is the third early signee for Newlee, joining Tayler Weiks of Tumwater, Wash., and Jenny Rocha of O'Fallon, Mo., who signed with the Vandals last week.
