University of Idaho quarterback Nathan Enderle joins Vandal safety Shiloh Keo Saturday when West meets East in the 86th annual Shrine Football game at the Florida Citrus Bowl at Orlando, Fla.
More than 50 years have passed since more than one Vandal represented Idaho at the annual game, which first was played in 1925. In 1957, Jerry Kramer, Wayne Walker and Larry Aldrich played for the winning West team.
Enderle graduated from Idaho with one of the most impressive careers in school history. A member of three watch lists as a senior, he is Idaho's all-time leader in pass attempts and is second in completions, third in yards and fourth in all-time average per game and touchdown passes.
Keo made his mark as a safety and finished his career ranked fifth in tackles and tied for sixth in interceptions. He also, however, was a standout punt returner and is the school's all-time punt return yardage leader.
Kickoff Saturday is at 1 p.m. (Pacific) and will be live on ESPN2. Former NFL coaches Dan Reeves and Wade Phillips are guiding the teams.
