MOSCOW, Idaho - Idaho women's soccer returns to the pitch this week, come rain or shine (or snow) to start off a Spring slate that includes four home matches, five total games and a 7-on-7 tournament.
After finishing 8-11-3 and advancing to the first Western Athletic Conference Tournament semifinal round in school history in the 2011 Fall season, Idaho's women return to the spring pitch with lofty expectations of continuing the program's climb.
With just one graduating senior, defender Alison Page, in 2011, Idaho returns its core performers in a group that has won more games in the last three seasons (31) than any other three-year span in school history.
All of Idaho's home matches in the Spring will be played on the SprinTurf practice field. The team's home slate begins this Sunday with Montana at Noon (PT). Idaho returns on Sunday, March 25, to host Gonzaga at 12:30 p.m. The Vandals make it a double on Sunday, April 1, when they host Washington State at 10 a.m. and then play Central Washington the same day at 2:30.
Idaho's first road match in Spring play is Saturday, April 14, at 12:30 p.m. at North Idaho College. The team will participate in Gonzaga's 7v7 tournament one week later on Saturday, April 21, all day long.
