MOSCOW, Idaho—For the third cosecutive week the University of Idaho soccer team will hit the road to continue its tough early season schedule. The young Vandals will take on North Dakota State on Friday and Creighton on Sunday.

“Obviously we want go and get two wins,” head coach Pete Showler stated. “We have to right the ship and get back to winning ways.  We know a bit about North Dakota State since we played them last season, but they have brought in some new players. With Creighton we don’t know much about them at all.”

North Dakota State (1-3-0) opened the season with a win over Belmont but has since dropped its last three games to Minnesota, Hofstra and St. John’s. This season the Bison have been outscored 12-4. Friday’s game will mark the inaugural regular season match at Dacotah Field. Idaho owns a 3-0 series lead against NDSU. The last meeting between the two schools was a 3-0 Vandals victory in 2012.

Sunday’s match at Creighton (2-2-0) will mark the Vandals first meeting against the Bluejays. Last season the Jays finished 3-13-3. A lot like the 2013 Vandals, Creighton has 13 newcomers on the roster. One of them being freshman forward Paige Jarsombeck, who has a team high four goals this season.
