Just three games into his University of Idaho career, junior receiver Dezmon Epps is being noticed.

On Tuesday, he was added to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List as one of the nation’s top receivers. Epps has 23 catches for 265 yards in the Vandals’ first three games. He pulled nine for 110 yards against Northern Illinois last Saturday.

“Probably his biggest strength is his competitiveness; his will to be great,” coach Paul Petrino said. “He tries to win every route that he has in practice. He works hard every day.

“He is blessed with great quickness and speed.”

Epps came to Idaho from City College of San Francisco, where he was a 2012 Community College All-American. He also was a first-team Region I choice as a freshman at CCSF. Epps graduated from Sacramento’s Grant High School.
