2008: Hull played in 15 games and started 14 for Idaho on the back line. She moved forward to score a goal in a 2-1 loss to Robert Morris on Sep. 21, and finished the year with 19 shots. She helped Idaho shut out two opponents and when she was in the lineup, opponents only scored more than two goals twice. She was voted Player of the Match four times by her teammates and was honored at the end of the year as the team’s co-Player of the Year. She also earned All-Tournament Team recognition at the Governor’s Cup.


Personal: Hull is the daughter of Lawrence and Sandra Hull. She is majoring in Mechanical Engineering at Idaho.

Quoting Coach Showler: "Des is a versatile player. She's tall, strong and plays any defensive position and any midfield position. She scores from any position, as well. She's come from a very successful program, having won four straight New Mexico state titles and she just has an infectious winning mentality that will help us grow as a program."

High School/Club: Hull was a strong player for the Los Alamos High School Hilltoppers. Her senior season in 2007, she scored 23 goals and had 11 assists. Her goal total ranked fourth in the state at the 4A level. She was named the 2007 District 2 Player of the Year after she led Los Alamos to an 8-0 district record and the team's third-straight district title. She was a First Team All-State honoree in 2007, a Second Team honoree in 2006 and Honorable Mention All-State in 2005. The Hilltoppers made the state playoffs all four years she was there, including a 2006 state championship berth and state semifinal berths in 2004, 2005 and 2007. At the club level, she helped the Rio Vista FC win four state titles in a row from 2004-07 and three Duke City League titles from 2003-05. Her Rio Vista team made the Region IV semifinals in 2005 and the quarterfinals in 2004. She was also a New Mexico Olympic Development Program invitee. A strong classroom performer, Hull had a 4.2 cumulative GPA while taking multiple Advanced Placement classes during her soccer seasons.
