|Volleyball gives out awards|
MOSCOW - The Idaho volleyball team honored four players as it handed out its annual postseason awards on Sunday.
Senior libero Cassie Hamilton and sophomore outside hitter shared Most Valuable Player honors. Hamilton led the Western Athletic Conference with 4.37 digs per set in WAC games, and finished the season with 1,410 digs for her career, just 10 shy of the Idaho record. Hamilton also took home the Amanda Gammage Most Inspirational award. Hamilton was a second-team all-WAC selection.
Walker led the WAC with 4.31 kills in conference matches and her 4.24 kills per game for the season are the 10th best in a season in Idaho history. Walker was a three-time WAC Player of the Week, first-team all-WAC and WAC all-tournament team selection.
The Most Improved Player award went to senior outside hitter Alicia Milo. Milo had her best season as a Vandal with an average of 3.66 kills per set and a .197 hitting percentage. Milo finished sixth in the WAC in kills and was a first-team all-WAC selection and a WAC Player of the Week.
Junior middle blocker Alex Sele won the Kathy Clark Scholar Athlete Award. Sele played in every match for the Vandals and led the team with 1.08 blocks per game and hit .283, earning second-team all-WAC honors. She is majoring in psychology and holds above a 3.9 Grade Point Average.
