Sean McMullen continued his steady
play as JarredBossio and Stefan
Richardson recovered from shaky first rounds to help the Idaho Vandals improve
by two positions at the Desert Shootout collegiate golf tournament.
McMullen added a 70 to his
opening-round 71 for a 141 and a tied for 11th with 18 holes to
play. Bossio and Richardson are in a group tied at 45th after a 68
by Bossio and a 71 by Richardson gave them matching 146s. Gordon Webb is tied
for 64th at 149 after a second-18 76, and Justin Kadin is tied for
71st after matching 75s for a 150.
Brigham Young leads the
tournament, which concludes Saturday, with a 548. Denver is at 562 and Wichita
State is at 564. After rounds of 294-284—578, Idaho is 11th.
