EL MACERO, Calif. - The University of Idaho men's golf team finished ninth in its final event before the May 2-4 WAC Championship tournament.

Senior Aaron Cockerill led the Vandals with a tie for 13th with his six-over 222 over the 6,964-yard El Macero Country Club course. Sean McMullen also turned in a top-25 effort with his tie for 21st at eight-over 224. Jared du Toit tied for 27th with a 226, with Rylee Iacolucci tied for 45th at 230 and Ryan Porch alone in 64th with a 238.

The Vandals shot an even 900 after rounds of 301-302-297. UC Davis won the tournament with an 856 with CS Fullerton second at 872 and Grand Canyon third at 882. Davis' Matt Hansen was the medalist at six-under 210.
