Spring 2013: Akbar earned first-team all-WAC honors in both singles and doubles during his senior season, and also captured WAC all-tournament team and WAC Player of the Week honors…he went 15-9 in singles play, playing all of his matches at the top two positions…he went 3-1 at No. 1 and 12-8 at No. 2…in doubles play he put together at 22-6 record including a 20-5 mark at No. 1 and a 2-1 record at No. 2…he began the season ranked No. 7 in the Mountain Region in singles and No. 1 in doubles, along with Marius Cirstea, by the ITA.

Fall 2012: Akbar earned WAC Player of the Month honors for September and November of 2012…he teamed up with Marius Cirstea to win the ITA Mountain Region doubles draw and advance to the National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, where the pairing went 2-1…he went 11-4 in doubles action overall in the fall and 8-4 in singles…he advanced to the round of 16 in singles at the Baylor Invitational and reached the quarterfinals in both the Boise State Fall Tournament and the ITA Regional Tournament singles draws.

Spring 2012: Akbar was a second-team all-WAC selection for singles, and also earned WAC all-tournament team and WAC player of the Week honors during the spring of 2012...Akbar played at the No. 1 and 2 singles positions all spring, and went 1-4 at No. 1 and 12-10 at No. 2...he went 3-2 in WAC play...in doubles he went 16-9 during the spring season, including a 16-5 record at No. 2 and an 0-4 mark at No. 1...Akbar won 10 of his final 11 doubles matches of the season, and had a combined 17-19 singles record in 2011-12 and a 21-13 doubles record.

Fall 2011: Akbar went 4-5 in singles play in the fall and 5-4 in doubles…he won his opening round match at the ITA Mountain Regional to advance to the round of 64 in singles play…he also won opening round singles matches to advance to the round of 16 at the Pacific Northwest Intercollegiate and the Boise State Fall Tournament…made it to the semifinals in doubles with partner Marius Cirstea at the BSU Fall Tournament, and reached the round of 32 with Jose Bendeck at the ITA Mountain Regional.

Spring 2011: Akbar finished with a 12-13 singles record in the spring, but went a combined 11-2 at the No. 5 and No. 6 positions. He went 1-11 at No. 4, 5-0 at No. 5 and 6 -2 at No. 6 singles. In doubles play, Akbar went 18-6 on the spring, all at the No. 3 spot.

Fall 2010: Went 8-5 in singles play and 7-3 in doubles...earned WAC Player of the Month honors for the month of November after winning the doubles title at the Pacific Northwest Intercollegiate in Seattle, Wash...advanced to the round of 32 in the ITA Regional singles bracket...advanced to the semi-finals in the singles bracket of the PNW Intercollegiate...advanced to the round of 16 in ITA regional doubles...seven of his eight singles wins were in two sets.

2009-10: Akbar finished with an 8-5 singles record in the spring at the No. 4-6 positions, including a 5-0 mark at the No. 4 and 5 spots. In doubles comptition he went 18-7 in the spring, going 17-7 at the No. 3 spot and 1-0 at No. 2. Akbar finished 1-1 in WAC play in singles, and 2-2 in the WAC in doubles. He went 7-3 in singles in the fall, advancing to the semifinals of the Boise State Intercollegiate Fall Classic and the PNW Intercollegiates. Akbar went 4-3 in the fall in doubles, and advance to the semifinals at the EWU/GU Classic, and the Round of 16 at the Boise State Intercollegiate Fall Classic.

Junior Tennis: Akbar advanced to the semifinal rounds of the National Clay Court Championship, The Governorfs Cup and the Rahim Yar Khan National Tennis Championship in 2009. He has spent most of his career ranked among the top of Pakistanfs national circuit. He previously held a No. 5 national ranking among Pakistani men.

Personal: He is the son of Anjum Naz and Mohammad Akbar. He has two brotherfs Babar Ali Akbar and Ahmed Ali Akbar. His father Mohammad also played tennis for the University of Clemson; his brother Babar also played tennis for Charleston Southern University in 2001. His intended major at the University of Idaho is Business.
