MOSCOW -- Idaho men's tennis coach Jeff Beaman has added an in-state 3-star recruit to the mix for next season, as Matt Oddonetto of Boise has committed to join the Vandals this fall.

Oddonetto is ranked as the top recruit in Idaho, No. 3 in the Mountain Region and 314 in the nation.

"I am excited that Matt has decided to join the team," Beaman said. "He has a ton of potential in both singles and doubles and I see his game jumping to a new level in college.  Matt is also a great student that will fit in well with the guys on the team."

Oddonetto finished second in singles in this year's state tournament, and won state in doubles as a junior in 2011.

Oddonetto is the second high school senior to commit to Idaho, joining Sam Laudon, a lefty from Austin, Texas.
