PORTLAND, Ore. – One day after suffering its first loss of 2014, the Idaho men’s tennis team bounced back with a 6-1 win over Portland State on Sunday.

Idaho sweep of doubles included a 6-0 win from Andrew Zedde and Matt Oddonetto at the No. 2 position, and the Vandals picked up straight-set wins in the top three singles matches to cruise to victory.

“It’s nice to get back on the winning side,” Idaho coach Jeff Beaman said. “We definitely have some things to work on next week in practice to prepare for our next matches.”

Idaho improves to 3-1 on the season with the win. The Vandals return to action next week when the face San Francisco on Feb. 8 and Washington on Feb. 9 in Seattle.
