PORTLAND – The Idaho men’s tennis team got singles wins at the top two spots, but couldn’t secure victories at the bottom of the lineup in a 5-2 loss to Hawai`i in Portland on Sunday.

Artemiy Nikitin won 6-3, 7-5 at No. 1 and Jose Bendeck won 6-2, 4-6, 6-1, but the Vandals dropped the Nos. 3-6 singles matches and lost at the top two doubles positions to fall 5-2 in the match.

The Vandals fall to 7-10 on the season with the loss.

Idaho returns to action on Monday, facing Portland at 10 a.m.
