|Honors Keep Coming For Men's Tennis|
MOSCOW - The University of Idaho Men's Tennis team keeps making history this season as the Vandals move up in the national rankings and bag another WAC player of the week award.
Idaho jumped five spots in the national rankings and now sit at No. 58 in the country. It is the highest ranking in program history breaking the record set by Idaho last week.
The Vandals learned they are ranked fifth in the ITA Mountain regional rankings on Tuesday.
Adrian Simon was named WAC player of the week making it the second week in a row a Vandal earned the honor. Lachlan Reed was WAC player of the week prior to Simon.
Simon went undefeated in both singles and doubles last week as the Vandals picked up road wins over Montana and Montana State. In singles, he posted straight-sets victories at the Nos. 2 and 3 positions. In doubles, he and partner Lachlan Reed won twice at the No. 1 spot.
Idaho is 14-4 on the season and three of the team's four losses have come against ranked opposition.
