Walker honored at WAC tournament

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - After helping the Idaho volleyball team to a win over Boise State and an appearance in the Western Athletic Conference semi-finals, Vandal freshman Allison Walker was named to the WAC all-tournament team.

Walker had 21 kills, 13 digs and two blocks in Idaho's win over the Broncos, and the Vandals climbed out of an early hole to win the five-set match and advance to their third WAC semi-finals in six years.

Walker had 11 kills and hit .265 and added four digs against Hawaii, as the Vandals fell in three sets. Walker also added two assists in the tournament. She finished the tournament with 32 kills, hitting .223 and averaging 4.00 kills and 2.12 digs per game.

Utah State's Liz McArthur was named Tournament MVP after the Aggies swept No. 3 Hawaii in the championship match.
