|Women's tennis Senior Day|
MOSCOW, Idaho - For seven University of Idaho senior women's tennis players, Saturday's match against Lewis-Clark State will be the final of their careers, but it will also be a chance for them to influence the next generation of young tennis players.
The Campus Kids' Days program is sponsored by the United States Tennis Association as a way to introduce young players to the collegiate game. The afternoon will feature free food and refreshments, and there will be games and prizes for kids in attendance.
There will be a presentation following the match for the seven Vandal seniors, Silvia Irimescu, Natalie Kirch, Yvette Ly, Barbara Maciocha, Dana Panter, Jana Siwa and Justine Textor.
The match will be Idaho's second against LCSC this season. The Vandals opened spring play this year with a 7-0 win over the Warriors and have gone on to post a 16-6 overall record and 4-3 tally in Western Athletic Conference play. LCSC's women just took third place at the NAIA Regional Championships and are ranked No. 21 nationally in NAIA.
