Idaho’s Gordon Webb was chosen the Western Athletic Conference Golfer of the Month for October.

Webb, a senior from Malta, Mont. (Western New Mexico), had two top-five finishes in October.  At the Jim Colbert Intercollegiate in Manhattan, Kansas, Oct. 1-2, Webb finished in fourth place with a nine-over par 225 (78-77-70) to help the Vandals to a second-place team finish.

Idaho capped the month with a victory at the Price’s Give ‘Em Five Invitational at El Paso, Texas. The Vandals won in a field that included four other WAC teams.  Webb won the individual title with an eight-under par 208 (70-68-70), and was the only player to shoot under par in each of the three rounds.  Webb averaged 72.17 strokes per round in the two tournaments.
