LEWISTON, Idaho – The weather may have not cooperated with University of Idaho women’s tennis team but everything else went the Vandals way on Tuesday.

Idaho continued its winning ways brushing aside Eastern Washington in match played in Lewiston after the weather made the match impossible to play in Moscow.

“I thought we had a solid outing today,” Idaho Women’s Tennis Head Coach Tyler Neill said. “We took care of business at almost every position.”

The match was stopped once Idaho clinched the match 4-1. Idaho moves to 19-6 on the year and has won 16 out of its last 18 matches.

“I was impressed with Yvette today,” Neill said. “She has been injured all season, but went out and beat a player that won against us earlier this season.”

The Vandal women will now turn their attention to a busy weekend in New Mexico.

“I am happy that we were able to get this win going into our final conference matches,” Neill said. “I think we have confidence in what we can do and it showed today.”

Idaho plays Fresno State and Hawaii on Friday and New Mexico State and Western New Mexico on Saturday.
