University of Idaho junior Mike Scott, who joined the
Vandals in August, has been added to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List, which
honors the nation’s top collegiate receiver.
Scott has made an immediate impact on the team as the
Vandals’ leading receiver after three games with 22 catches for 285 yards and
one touchdown. He’s ranked second in the Western Athletic Conference in receptions
per game and receiving yards per game. Nationally, those numbers put him in a
tie for 16th for receptions per game (7.33), 26th in
total receiving yards (285) and 30th in receiving yards per game
(95.0).
He is one of 19 players added to the original list, which
now totals 94 players, and is one of just three from the Western Athletic
Conference.
He is one of three Vandals on watch lists so far this fall. Kicker Trey Farquhar is on the Lou Groza list and receiver/return specialist Justin Veltung is on the Paul Hornung list, which honors the game's most versatile player.
