|VB set to visit SJSU, Utah St.|
The Idaho volleyball team will hit the road for the first time in Western Athletic Conference play when it takes on San Jose State on Sept. 20 and Utah State on Sept. 22.
The Vandals are looking for their first win outside of Moscow this season on the trip. Idaho is 3-9 overall, but 0-7 outside of Memorial Gym, including an 0-4 mark in road matches. Idaho split a pair of matches against Denver and New Mexico State to open WAC play last weekend.
San Jose State is looking for its first WAC win of the season, with an 0-2 conference mark after falling at Texas State and UTSA. The Spartans are 4-7 overall. SJSU has won the last two home meetings in the series, and three of the last five at home. Idaho, however, owns an 8-6 overall record over the Spartans. Idaho will close out its road trip at Utah State on Sept. 22. The Aggies enter the week with a 7-4 record and are tied atop the WAC standings with New Mexico State with a 2-0 mark. Idaho has won the last three meetings with Utah State, and leads the all-time series 19-18. The Aggies beat Texas State 3-0 and UTSA 3-1 on the road last week to open conference play. After its two-match road swing, the Vandals return home to host Texas State and UTSA on Sept. 27 and 29. Both matches start at 7 p.m. in Memorial Gym.
