|VB home for spring finale|
MOSCOW, Idaho – With just a few days left of the spring season, the Idaho volleyball team is preparing for its finale against the Premiere Volleyball League’s Evergreen Region team on April 18 at 7 p.m. in Memorial Gym.
“It’s a great opportunity for us to be home and finish our spring against a team that we haven’t seen,” Idaho coach Debbie Buchanan said. “It’s great for them to learn to see new things, see new people, and still try to play our style of volleyball.”
Buchanan said her team has improved its offensive pace over the course of the spring, but must get its ball-control to an equally high level in order to take full advantage.
“Our offense is faster, offensively we’re better,” Buchanan said. “Now our question is ball control. We have the offensive pieces, now it’s a matter of if we’re going to be able to get them the ball all the time.”
The Evergreen Region Volleyball Association team is made up of former college players, primarily from Northwest universities, including Washington State, Eastern Washington, Central Washington and Western Washington, among others.
