MOSCOW, Idaho - University of Idaho men's basketball will hold its first public event of the year on Friday when the team hosts plays the annual Black & Gold Scrimmage at 7 p.m. at Memorial Gym.
Friday's event will start with an introduction of the team and coaches, a Vandal warm-up and two 10-minute intrasquad scrimmages. Vandal basketball posters will be available for free and the team will sign autographs after the event, which is free to the public.
The Black & Gold Scrimmage is the first of two preseason scrimmages open to the public. Idaho men's basketball will head to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, on Tuesday, Oct. 23 for another intrasquad scrimmage at North Idaho College's Christianson Gym. That event is also free to the public.
There will be a Vandal Pre-Game event starting at 5 p.m. at Fort Ground Grill. There will be a no-host social for Vandal fans leading up to the scrimmage. In addition, there will be a 50/50 raffle drawing at halftime to benefit the Vandal Scholarship Fund and the Vandal players will be available to sign autographs after the event.
Idaho plays its first exhibition game at Memorial Gym on Saturday, Oct. 27, against Seattle Pacific at 7 p.m.
