Students are chosen based on achieved outstanding academic success and having demonstrated career and professional preparation; campus and community leadership and involvement, or "leaders in the classroom, laboratory, campus and community." To be eligible, they have to have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or better.

The four Vandals honored are golfer Amanda Jacobs (Business Marketing and Management), volleyball player Kelsey James (Marketing and Advertising), football offensive guard Adam Juratovac, and volleyball player Anna McKinney.
