DENVER - For the third week in a row, an Idaho volleyball player is the Western Athletic Conference's Player of the Week, and for the third time this season, it's sophomore outside hitter Allison Walker.

Walker averaged 4.62 kills, 2.50 digs, 0.50 blocks, 0.25 service aces and 5.19 points per set as Idaho extended its win streak to five matches, clinched a second-place finish in the final WAC standings and the No. 2 seed in next week's WAC Tournament, which includes a bye into the semifinals.

Walker had her 13th double-double of the season in Idaho's 3-1 win over Fresno State as she finished with 17 kills and 14 digs. She had just five errors in that match and hit .316. It was the seventh time this season Walker hit .300 or better and had at least 10 kills in a match. She also had a season-high two aces and added three blocks.

Walker had her sixth 20-plus kill match of the season, and third in Idaho's last four matches, when she finished with 20 kills against Nevada in the regular-season finale. The 20 kills were three shy of her season-high. She also added six digs and a block in that match.

The Vandals are 10-2 since Oct. 1. Idaho's second-place WAC finish is its highest in its seven seasons in the conference, and its highest finish in any conference since winning the Big Sky in 1995.

Last week, Idaho senior outside hitter Alicia Milo earned her first career WAC Player of the Week honor, while Walker earned the honor on Oct. 31 and Oct. 3. It's Walker's fourth career Player of the Week recognition.
