|Women's senior day is Saturday|
MOSCOW, Idaho - After 357 combined games played, five Vandal seniors will play their final game in the Cowan Spectrum on Saturday, as the Idaho women's basketball team hosts Utah State at 2 p.m.
Seniors Emily Doran, Derisa Taleni, Bianca Cheever, Rachele Kloke and Yinka Olorunnife will be honored with a special Senior Day presentation before the game.
The Vandals (13-11, 6-6 Western Athletic Conference) need a win to keep pace in the battle for a coveted top-four seed and first-round bye in the WAC tournament. Utah State (13-11, 7-4 WAC) beat the Vandals 70-64 in Logan, Utah on Feb. 10, in a game that was tied with less than a minute to play.
Idaho is led by Olorunnife, who is chasing the Idaho and WAC all-time rebounding records. Olorunnife is averaging 10.3 rebounds per game this season, and is 13 boards shy of her milestone 1,000th, 19 shy of breaking Idaho's all-time record, and 39 shy of breaking the WAC record. She also averages a team-high 14.5 points per game.
Kloke, who missed two games with a knee injury before returning to the lineup against Nevada on Feb. 17, is second on the team with 12.1 points per game, and is shooting a team-best 47.8 percent from the field.
The Aggies are led by 15.4 points and 8.8 rebounds per game from Ashlee Brown. Devyn Christensen also gives Utah State 11.2 points per game. Utah State's Alice Coddington is second in the WAC with4.46 assists per game, and a 1.70 assist-to-turnover ratio.
The Vandals will wrap up the season with three straight road games, visiting Fresno State on Feb. 24, New Mexico State on March 3, and Louisiana Tech on March 5. The WAC tournament is March 9-12 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.
