|Vandals welcome UW Wednesday|
MOSCOW, Idaho - The Idaho women's basketball team will be back at home when it returns to action as the Washington Huskies pay the Vandals a visit on Nov. 30 at 5:30 p.m. in Memorial Gym. The game is the first half of a doubleheader, as the Vandal men host Eastern Washington at 8:05 p.m. on Wednesday.
The Vandals enter the game with a 2-4 overall record, and have held their last three opponents under 60 points, including a 71-45 win over Morehead State in their last outing.
Idaho freshman Stacey Barr is leading the team in scoring, averaging 12.2 points per game, primarily off the bench. Barr has connected on a team-high 15 3-pointers this season. Senior Ganeaya Rogers averages 11.4 points per game and has the Western Athletic Conference's fifth best field goal percentage, shooting 54.3 percent from the field. Sophomore Alyssa Charlston is averaging 10.3 points and a team-best 7.3 rebounds per game.
Washington (3-2), of the Pac-12 Conference, is coming off its lowest two offensive outputs of the young season, scoring 46 points in a win over UC Santa Barbara and 51 points in a loss to San Diego State last week. The Huskies are led by 17.2 points and 7.8 rebounds per game from Regina Rogers, while Jazmine Davis chips in with 11.4 points per game. UW is coached by Kevin McGuff, who is in his 10th season as a head coach, and his first at Washington.
Both Idaho and Washington average more than 20 turnovers per game, but the Huskies have a plus-5.8 rebounding margin while Idaho is outrebounded by its opponents by 2.7 boards per game. Wednesday's matchup will be the seventh meeting between the two programs, and Washington has won five of the previous six.
The game is Pack the House night and the first 350 fans in the door will receive free Vandal pom-poms. The Vandals wrap up the week with their second Pac-12 opponent in as many games as they visit Colorado on Sunday at 11 a.m. PT. That game will be broadcast regionally on Root Sports TV.
