|Idaho women seek three in a row|
MOSCOW - After a huge road sweep at Hawai'i and San Jose State, the Idaho women's basketball team will look to make it three wins in a row on Thursday as they host New Mexico State in the Cowan Spectrum at 5:30 p.m.
The Vandals (7-15, 2-5 Western Athletic Conference) will look for redemption as NMSU (5-17, 2-5) snapped its seven-game losing streak in the series with a 61-47 win over the Vandals on Jan. 14. New Mexico State's lone win since then came on Saturday as it topped Nevada 70-50 in Las Cruces, N.M.
Idaho will attempt to win three straight games for the first time since November of 2010, when the Vandals started the 2010-11 season 3-0. A win would also boost the Vandals in the WAC standings, as both teams enter the game with 2-5 WAC records and are tied for sixth place in the conference. Idaho is in the midst of five teams within two games of third place in the WAC standings. The Vandals will have another chance to gain ground on Saturday as they host third-place Louisiana Tech (11-11, 4-3 WAC) at 5:30.
Fans in Moscow can catch the game on the radio on 840 AM, while live stats and an online stream of the game will be available online at www.GoVandals.com.
Both of Idaho's games this week are the first half of a doubleheader with the Vandal men's team, which tips off at 8 p.m. on Thursday and Saturday.
