University of Idaho senior golfer Kayla Mortellaro added another achievement to her growing list with her selection to the COSIDA Capital One All-District Academic team. Her choice as one of 12 at-large honorees from District 7 puts her in contention for the national All-American team, which will be chosen later this month.

Mortellaro, from Mesa, Ariz., won 10 tournament titles during her four years at Idaho and graduated earlier this month with a degree in Public Relations. Additionally, she was recognized 14 times by the Western Athletic Conference as either a Golfer of the Month or Golfer of the Week. She won back-to-back Western Athletic Conference titles and was the league's Golfer of the Year three times and its Freshman of the Year during her first collegiate season.

She completed her Idaho career two weeks ago with her best NCAA Regional finish in four appearances when she tied for 16th at the NCAA West tournament at Colorado National Golf Club.
