The Idaho women's basketball team will look for its fourth win in five games on Thursday as it visits Texas State with a 4:30 p.m. (Pacific) tip off.

The Vandals are coming off a 70-52 win over UT Arlington and enter Thursday's game with a 7-11 overall record and a 4-3 mark in Western Athletic Conference play, putting them in a four-way tie for third place in the league. Texas State is 7-10 on the season but just 1-6 in the WAC.

Thursday's meeting will be the first in program history between the two schools. Texas State will make the return trip to Moscow on March 2.

Texas State has two of the five best scorers in the WAC, with Diamond Ford's WAC-leading 20.8 points per game, and Ashley Ezeh's 16.0 points per game. That tandem helps the Bobcats' 71.5 total scoring offense, which is second best in the WAC. However, Texas State also allows 71.5 points per game this season, and its offense hasn't been as successful in WAC  games, scoring 65.7 points per game in the WAC.

Idaho is led by junior Alyssa Charlston, who has three double-doubles in Idaho's last six games, and is averaging 15.7 points per game in that span. Freshman Christina Salvatore has made at least one 3-pointer in 17 of Idaho's 18 games, and ranks 18th in the nation with 2.94 3-pointers made per game, and 84th win a 35.3 3-point field goal percentage.

The game is the first of four straight WAC road games for Idaho. The Vandals will visit UTSA on Jan. 26,Utah State on Jan. 31 and San Jose State on Feb. 2 before returning home to host New Mexico State on Feb. 7.
