Leonard Walker helped keep the Idaho boxing team near the top of the nation from 1949-51. He was a back-to-back NCAA title winner in 1949 and 1950. He helped the Idaho men take fourth as a team in 1949 with his title at 135 lbs, then helped give Idaho a share of its fourth NCAA team title in 1950 after he took home the 1450lb title, as a senior in 1951, he helped Idaho take fourth at the NCAA tournament. Walker helped Idaho take home three-straight Pacific Coast Conference titles from 1949-51, as he won individual PCC championships in 1949 at 135 lbs and in 1951 at 165 lbs.
