|Washington standout Rachel Choi signs with Vandals|
Rachel Choi is one of the most talented female golfers in the state of Washington, and soon will be become a University of Idaho Vandal.
"She ranks among one of the finest recruits from the State of Washington to commit to the University of Idaho," Johnson said.
Choi has many qualities that will help her make immediate contributions to the golf team.
"Rachel's greatest strengths as a golfer are her solid fundamentals, strong work ethic, commitment to improvement, and competiveness," Johnson said.
Choi is a player that has proven that she can perform at the highest level when it truly counts. This ability to perform under pressure should help Choi make an instant impact at the University of Idaho.
Her biggest accomplishment competing at the highest level was the Washington Junior Golf Association state championship in 2008. In that tournament Choi finished second place with scores of 76, 76, and 77.
Some of Choi's playing accomplishments include Washington Junior Player of the Year in 2009, second at WJGA State Tournament in 2008, and represented Washington at Junior Worlds.
In addition to these accomplishments, Choi also won two WJGA sub-district tournaments and played in the Washington Junior America's Cup.
