MOSCOW - University of Idaho men's and women's cross country didn't compete last weekend, but the Vandals still climbed the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association regional rankings on Monday.

The Idaho men moved up one spot to 12th in the West Region, while the Vandal women hopped one place to 13th. Both are highs for the team so far this season.

Both teams will have a chance to prove they deserve their spots this weekend, after being selected to compete at the Bill Dellinger Invitational on Saturday. The meet features two nationally-ranked programs in Wisconsin and host school Oregon, as well as regionally-ranked teams, Oregon State, Portland, Southern Utah and Wichita State.

The meet will be held at the Springfield Country Club at Springfield, Ore. The women's 5000m race starts at 10:30 a.m. (PDT), while the men's 8000m follows at 11:15 a.m.
