This Week's Meets:
Duane Hartman Invitational (Saturday, Apr. 30)
Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational (Sunday, May 1)

Looking Forward:
Vandal track and field will split forces again this weekend, as half the team will compete at Saturday's Duane Hartman Invitational, hosted by Community Colleges of Spokane, and another group will head to Stanford for the Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational, where they'll face some of the nation's top teams.

The Vandals are coming off yet another weekend of historic performances, with five all-time top-10 entries, 15 personal bests and seven individual event victories at last weekend's Cougar Invitational.

Last year at the Duane Hartman Invitational, Idaho athletes won nine individual titles and set a handful of personal bests, despite competing on a cold, windy day with rain and hail storms.

Idaho opened its outdoor season this year at Stanford, and the team hopes it can replicate the success it saw on that track in March. Despite also competing in rain and windy conditions, the Vandals ran some of the fastest 5000m, 1500m, 800m and 400m hurdle races in school history. This time around, the forecast calls for sunny weather in the mid-70s, so Idaho will try to continue its hot streak on the track.
