CORVALLIS, Ore – The University of Idaho track and field team won two events and posted multiple season best marks Friday at the OSU High Performance Meet hosted by Oregon State.

Junior Emmanuel Panchol added the first victory of the day with a wind-aided mark of 47-5.25 (14.46m) in the triple jump, junior Ben Ayesu-Attah claimed the second victory over the meet in the 400m with a time of 48.11 and junior Cody Helbling added the third victory over the meet with a time of 14:45.14 in the 5000m.

Junior Jesse Villines took the third place spot in the 110m hurdles with a wind-aided time of 14.86, sophomore Blake Gerling followed in sixth with a time of 15.28 and sophomore Drew Thompson finished in seventh with a time of 15.31. Freshman Danny Brunner placed second in the 800m while,  Villines placed second in the 400m hurdles, followed closely by Gerrling in third.

Freshman Arphaxad Carroll placed second in the triple jump with a wind-aided leap of 46-1.5, he also took the third-place spot in the long jump with a mark of 23-5.25. In the hammer throw, senior Kyle Rothwell placed fourth with a mark of198-0 while junior Zach Trumbauer followed in sixth with a mark of 181-10. Junior Derek Haas placed third in the javelin throw with a season-best mark of 211-9 (64.54m).

For the women, senior Holly Stanton Browning finished fifth in the 3,000m steeple chase with a time of 10:44.12. Junior Taylor Hewett crossed the finish line in fifth in the 800m invite section with a time of 2:16.72.

Sophomore Tayler Feinauer finished fourth in the javelin throw with a mark of 142-3 (43.36m). Freshman Ana Pardo took the second-place spot in the shot put with a heave of 47-3.5 (16.72m), freshman Adara Winder followed in fourth with a toss of 46-3.25 (14.10m). Also, sophomore Jerrica Hauck place third in the pole vault with a mark of 12-1.5 (3.70m).

The Vandals are back in action on Sunday at the Payton Jordan Invitational at Stanford, Calif. Field events kick off at noon (PT) with the women’s portion of the hammer throw. Events at the track begin at 3:44 P.M with the women’s 100m
