EUGENE, Ore – University of Idaho junior pole vaulter Matt Sullivan concluded his stint at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championship Wednesday with a 22-place finish.

On his third attempt, Sullivan cleared a height of 16-8.75(5.10m). Sullivan came up short on his next effort at a height of 17-2.75(5.25m) concluding the meet in 22 with a final height of 16-8.75  (5.10m).

“Matt had a great year,” Director of Track and Field/Cross Country Wayne Phipps said. “Competing at NCAA’s was a great experience for him despite not vaulting as high as he would have liked – this experience will pay off in a big way for him next year.”
